Occidental Square

My hotel is in the Pioneer Square district of Seattle, which makes it about a 20 minute walk to get to the stadium and back again - it seems to take just as long on the light rail, as there's a very long walk from the light rail station into the stadium, which is mostly up hill too.

On the way to the stadium, I pass through Occidental Square, which is a very green and pleasant area with seating, gaming areas and restaurants.

I discovered this route on the way back from the first game, as I was following the way that other people were going.  Some of the restaurants had remained open late, and there were mobile stalls selling water, hot dogs and other such snacks along the road too.

You also go past CenturyLink field, the home field of the Seattle Seahawks NFL team.
